The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta held the Grand Emission Test 2023 to commemorate World Environment Day and the 496th Anniversary of Jakarta. This event set a record recognized by MURI (Indonesian Record Museum) as the largest emission test in Indonesia, with 2,615 participants at Ragunan Wildlife Park on June 5th.
The Grand Emission Test is an initial step to encourage motor vehicles to meet the emission threshold and improve air quality. Three important policies are implemented, including law compliance awareness, imposition of Motor Vehicle Tax penalty coefficients, and parking disincentives.
Through the emission test, it is hoped that vehicle users will be more conscious of exhaust emissions and comply with the set standards. This step will reduce air pollution and promote the use of environmentally friendly fuels.
Collaboration between the government and the community is crucial in addressing air pollution. Let's together create a cleaner and healthier environment!
