BRT Expansions and E-Buses

Jakarta’s BRT or commonly known as Transjakarta has expanded since 2004 with only 1 corridor, to having 13 today. The integration of the city-wide bus routes has resulted in more than 200 routes and up to 82% coverage of its population, ensuring accessibility and feasibility for all citizens.

Transjakarta has also been trialing e-busses and will plan on deploying the first 100 e-buses by the end of 2021. The Jakarta Provincial Government has committed to achieving 50% of the Transjakarta fleet to be fossil fuel-free by 2025.
