Koalisi Pejalan Kaki is a movement to demand pedestrian rights and support walking culture in Indonesia since 2011 by demanding the availability of adequate facilities, the existence of a good pedestrian and public transportation network, and the application of regulations.
Working closely with Koalisi Pejalan Kaki, the Jakarta Government has made significant changes in pedestrian facilities in various locations within the city in the past three years. The improvements are focused on the Transit-Oriented Development desired locations to support the high number of mobility in these areas. For the next couple of years, the Jakarta Government will continue this effort, so all of the locations are pedestrian-friendly
