The Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) conducts innovative policy development and strategic research for environmental measures, reflecting the results of research into political decisions for realising sustainable development both in the Asia-Pacific region and globally.
DKI Jakarta has collaborated with IGES on the Long-term Strategy to Achieve DKI Jakarta’s Low Carbon Society 2050 alongside the National Institute for Environmental Studies Japan, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and Asia-Pacific Integrated Model (AIM). A quantitative analysis was conducted with support from AIM, alongside a policy analysis to determine the prerequisites for the renewable energy transition. This includes the integration of transport and other policies.
